CIBERTEC Vogel Test System
CHARACTERISTICS
The Cibertec Vogel Test allows in small laboratory animals to study the potential anxiolytic effects of drugs. In this procedure, the drinking behaviour is punished by mild electrical shocks.
The Cibertec Vogel Test System consist of a home cage associated with a grid floor, an interface connection unit (LIM-8VO version: 1 for each 8 cages; LIM-16VO version: 1 for each 16 cages) associated with each special water bottle ensures the detection and counting of the licks reflecting the animal drinking behavior and the Cibertec VogelTest software for protocol and data acquisition. The interconnection among the interface unit and computer is carry out by a USB.
A multi-cage configuration allows performing the Vogel test for up to 16 cages.
The Cibertec Vogel Test System collects and analyzes the number of licks and aversive stimuli in each trial of a session.
